As of December 2023, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has removed 10 ELDs from its list of registered ELDs due to the providers’ failure to meet the minimum requirements outlined by the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations. The revoked ELDs are:

  • CI ELD LOGS
  • ELD 2 GO
  • ELD4TRUCKING
  • ELOG365
  • GOLDEN ELD
  • POWERTRUCKS ELD
  • STEER RIGHT ELD
  • TruckX-ELD
  • TST 1 ELD
  • WORLD TRUCKING ELD

The FMCSA has mandated that motor carriers and drivers using non-compliant ELDs must replace them within 60 days. During this period, they are advised to discontinue usage and switch to paper logs or logging software to keep track of their hours of service data.

Following a series of removals earlier this year, the ELDs are the latest devices to be revoked. However, if the ELD providers address all identified device deficiencies, the FMCSA will restore them to the list and notify the industry. Until then, motor carriers should adhere to the above instructions to avoid compliance issues.
